South Australia’s General Skilled Migration program has opened applications for Registration of Interest (ROI) with 2,250 nomination places available, 1,350 for Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa and 900 for Skilled Work Regional (subclass 491) visa. If you’re living and working in South Australia, now’s the time to submit your ROI. Offshore applicants will be invited directly from their SkillSelect Expression of Interest (EOI)
To be eligible, you must meet the requirements for the relevant streams, including having a valid skills assessment, competent English, and meeting the age and points criteria. The ROI process helps manage the limited spots available and prioritize candidates with skills in demand .
Additionally, changes to Designated Area Migration Agreements (DAMA) in South Australia mean only one variation per year is allowed, and requests cannot be lodged in the first six months after a new agreement. Businesses should plan ahead to ensure their workforce needs align with these updated requirements.
