The updated Pathway Student Visa now includes programmes leading to qualifications at NZQCF Levels 1 to 4, covering foundation programmes, vocational certificates, and English language courses. This enables students to complete multiple stages of their education under a single visa.

Longer English Language Study
The maximum duration of English language study permitted under the Pathway Student Visa has increased from 20 weeks to 30 weeks, providing students with additional time to strengthen their language proficiency before progressing to higher-level qualifications.
