The High Commission of India has announced a significant update for Indian citizens and visa applicants in Australia.
Effective 23 July 2026, all Indian Consular, Passport and Visa (CPV) services will be delivered through upgraded Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) operated by VFS Global. The move is aimed at enhancing service delivery with improved infrastructure, greater accessibility, and a more efficient application experience for the Indian community across Australia.

The upgraded centres are now operational in six major Australian cities:
- Adelaide
- Brisbane
- Canberra
- Melbourne
- Perth
- Sydney
Service Hours
Monday to Friday
8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
(Excluding Australian public holidays and holidays observed by the High Commission of India and respective Consulates.)
