The job seeker visa can be extended for an additional 60 days (2 months) if you can provide proof of ongoing job search efforts and sufficient funds to support yourself.
The Portugal Job Seeker Visa is valid for 120 days, during which you’ll be assigned a scheduled date to visit the competent services. Within this period, you can formalize an employment contract and apply for a residence permit. Upon completing the required procedures, you must meet the general conditions for issuing a temporary residence permit as per Article 77 of the Law. If your visa expires without securing employment or initiating the residence permit process, you’ll need to leave Portugal.
