What Are the Requirements of Manitoba PNP
Under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), candidates may qualify under one of the following streams:
Skilled Worker Immigration Stream
The Skilled Worker Immigration Stream is divided into two categories:
Skilled Worker in Manitoba Category
Eligible candidates:
- Temporary foreign workers and international student graduates currently working in Manitoba with a permanent job offer.
Minimum requirements:
- Be a qualified temporary foreign worker or international student graduate.
- Have a permanent, full-time job offer from a Manitoba employer.
- Have worked for the employer for at least six months.
- Meet language proficiency requirements.
- Demonstrate the ability to settle in Manitoba.
Skilled Worker Overseas Category
Eligible candidates:
- Qualified skilled workers outside Canada with a strong connection to Manitoba.
Minimum requirements:
- Obtain a minimum score of 60 out of 100 points on the points assessment grid.
- Demonstrate a strong connection to Manitoba (e.g., friend or family, previous work or education experience).
- Meet language proficiency requirements.
Business Investor Immigration Stream
The Business Investor Immigration Stream allows Manitoba to recruit and nominate qualified business people who intend to reside in the province and make a significant investment in a new or existing business.
Minimum Requirements
- Verifiable personal net worth of at least $350,000 CAD.
- Minimum three years of successful business ownership and management experience or executive-level experience.
- Attend an interview with an MPNP-B officer.
- Demonstrate language proficiency.
- Score a minimum of 60 points in the Adaptability Assessment Matrix.
Morden Community Driven Immigration Initiative
The Morden Community Driven Immigration Initiative identifies new permanent residents for the community under the MPNP.
Minimum Requirements
- Be between 21 and 45 years old.
- Have no other connection to Canada.
- Have completed a post-secondary education or training program
- Have at least two years of full-time work experience.
- Pass a General IELTS test with a minimum score of five in each band.
- Have the genuine intention and ability to settle in Morden.
- Have settlement funds as required by MPNP.

Manitoba PNP Eligibility
Eligibility for Skilled Worker in Manitoba Pathway
To qualify for the Skilled Worker in Manitoba Pathway, you must demonstrate ongoing employment in Manitoba. This means:
- Holding a valid work permit
- Having a Manitoba employer offer you a full-time, long-term job after six months of continuous employment
Qualifying Employment Requirements
Your employer must:
- Be incorporated or registered under Canadian or provincial law
- Operate a business with an established presence in Manitoba
- Demonstrate the ability to offer full-time, long-term employment
Eligibility Criteria for International Students
If you graduated from a post-secondary program outside Manitoba and have a job offer in Manitoba, you must:
- Have worked for the Manitoba employer for at least one year
Requirements for Temporary Foreign Workers
- The job offer must be from the same employer for whom you've worked full-time for the required period.
- You must meet all job qualifications, including education, training, and licenses.
- You must demonstrate job-ready English or French language proficiency.
- Your connection to Manitoba through employment must be stronger than ties to another province.
International Student Working Graduates
- Only graduates of Manitoba post-secondary institutions are eligible.
- You must have a valid post-graduation work permit and a job offer from a Manitoba employer after six months of continuous employment.
Ineligible Applicants
The following individuals are not eligible to apply:
- Refugee claimants or those involved in federal appeals or removal processes
- Live-in caregivers or temporary foreign workers residing outside Manitoba
- Spouses of Canadian citizens or permanent residents
- Individuals with active immigration applications in other provincial or federal programs
Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO) Pathway
The Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO) Pathway is a stream under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) that allows skilled workers outside Canada to apply for permanent residency.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the SWO Pathway, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Age: Be between 21 and 45 years old.
- Language proficiency: Demonstrate language proficiency in English or French with a minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level of 5.
- Education: Have a minimum of a one-year post-secondary education or training program
- Work experience: Have at least two years of full-time work experience in the past five years.
- Adaptability: Demonstrate the ability to settle and find employment in Manitoba.
