What is Manitoba Support?

Manitoba Support refers to a friend or relative living in Manitoba who can endorse your settlement plan as part of your application to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

Eligibility Requirements for Manitoba Supporters

To be eligible to provide Manitoba Support, your friend or relative must:

• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have been a resident of Manitoba for at least one year.
• Be able to demonstrate a strong connection to you, the applicant (e.g., close relative, friend).
• Be able to provide documentation proving their residence in Manitoba (e.g., Manitoba Health Card, driver's license).

Role of Manitoba Supporter

Your Manitoba Supporter will be required to:

• Endorse your settlement plan, which outlines your intentions and plans for settling in Manitoba.
• Provide documentation supporting their eligibility to provide Manitoba Support.
• Participate in an interview with an MPNP officer, if required.

Important Notes

• Your Manitoba Supporter cannot be a paid immigration representative.
• Your Manitoba Supporter must be able to demonstrate a genuine connection to you, the applicant.
• Your Manitoba Supporter's endorsement is not a guarantee of approval, and the MPNP reserves the right to request additional information or documentation.

International Education Stream

The International Education Stream (IES) is designed to provide Manitoba graduates who meet the needs of industry with faster pathways to permanent residence.

Eligibility Requirements

• Graduated from a Manitoba post-secondary institution
• Meet the needs of industry
• Language proficiency: CLB 7 or higher
• Work experience: At least one year of full-time work experience

Morden Community-Driven Immigration Initiative

The Morden Community-Driven Immigration Initiative is for international skilled workers who have the skills and experience needed in the town of Morden, Manitoba.

Eligibility Requirements

• Age: 21-45 years old
• Education: Post-secondary education or training
• Work experience: At least two years of full-time work experience
• Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to settle and find employment in Morden

Business Investor Stream

The Business Investor Stream is for international business investors who want to establish or purchase a business in Manitoba.

Eligibility Requirements

• Net worth: At least $500,000
• Business experience: At least three years of business ownership or senior management experience
• Language proficiency: CLB 5 or higher
• Education: Post-secondary education or training
• Business plan: Must submit a comprehensive business plan
