The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has launched the Pre-Arrival and Post-Arrival Supports and Services (PASS) Program, a free initiative designed to help internationally educated nurses (IENs) integrate into Canada’s healthcare system.
Program Benefits:
– Personalized support and guidance to help IENs navigate the registration process and find employment
– Online communication courses to improve language and communication skills
– Mentorship opportunities with experienced nursing professionals
– Webinars and orientation sessions on topics such as licensure, employment, and settlement services
Eligibility:
– IENs who have completed a recognized nursing education program outside of Canada
– Applicants must have received approval from IRCC for permanent residence
Program Goals:
– To provide IENs with the tools and resources they need to succeed in the Canadian healthcare system
– To support the integration of IENs into the Canadian workforce
– To address the nursing shortage in Canada by facilitating the entry of qualified IENs into the profession
