Starting October 20th, 2025, all applicants applying for a German visa are required to visit the VFS Global Centre in person to provide biometric data, including fingerprints and photographs, even if they’ve submitted them previously.
This means that applicants will need to:
– Provide Fingerprints: Ten fingerprints will be collected digitally
– Provide Photographs*: A passport-style photograph will be taken

– Children under 12 years old
– Individuals unable to provide fingerprints due to physical limitations
– Members of government delegations with official invitations
